What are they putting in milk these days? 10-year-old Thylane Blondeau was dubbed “too sexy” for morning television by Good Morning America today. This prompts the question, “How young is too young” (to model, not drink milk), Styleite reported.

Obviously, we need child models to laugh in our monthly JCPenney and Macy’s clearance ads, but should she model in a high-end fashion magazine aimed for adult consumption? George Stephanopoulos from GMA said Thylane’s poses are comparable to “the sultry stares of much older models.” Styleite reports. But considering she’s been modeling since age 4, you’d think she’d know how to work her eyes.

But maybe that’s the point Vogue Paris then-Editor-in-Chief Carine Roitfeld tried to make when Thylane modeled older women’s clothing in a mommy dress-up editorial spread. When the issue came out, some critics felt it bordered on “kiddie porn.”

  1. That is EXTREMELY MESSED UP AND FRIGHTENING! What is wrong with the adults involved with this child? Her parents? They are exploiting her. Can’t we ban this kind of thing? You don’t use a child to sell sex. Oh my God!

  2. Those are way to sexy for a 10yr and totally inappropriate. In the first pic the top is cut way to low. In the second picture what 10yr old wear that color lipstick and all that makeup? The third pic, no 10 yr old should be wearing shoes like that. If a 10 yr old wants to model then fine. There are plenty of children clothing stores she/he can do it for

  3. This isn’t sexy, this is just sick. Of course there’s no reason a 10 year old shouldn’t model, but it should be age appropriate clothing, aimed at other 10 year olds. I agree. Kiddie porn.

  4. Yeah, because it’s totally appropriate for a ten year old to do trampy photoshoots. I have no problem with models who are in their late teens or older doing those photoshoots, but really? Ten? What message are we sending to other ten year olds? My sister will be ten next year and there ain’t no way I’m gonna want to see her even think about wearing makeup or clothing like that.
