Did you know Christina Ricci was engaged? I didn’t—which is why I was kind of surprised to see that she and her fiancé, James Heerdegen, tied the knot this weekend. Not bad surprised—good surprised! Congratulations to the happy couple!
According to Us Weekly, Christina and James said their “I dos” this past Saturday, October 26, on the Upper East Side of New York. The bride wore Givenchy, a high-necked creation with beaded long sleeves and a massive train (no pics yet, but we’ll keep our ear to the ground about them); the ceremony took place at the Harold Pratt House and Peterson Hall, followed by cocktails, dinner, and dancing. Oh, and there was a candy table, too. Christina apparently picked out the treats herself from Economy Candy on the Lower East Side. Best. Wedding idea. EVER.
For the curious, James does work in the entertainment industry, although he’s not an actor—he’s a camera technician, specifically a dolly grip. He and Christina met on the set of Pan Am in 2012. They announced their engagement in February, although James may have actually popped the question last fall: Christina noted at the time, “Yeah, [we got engaged] a couple months back.”
Congrats again to the newlyweds—may you have many happy years together!
