Gwen Stefani nail polish? Um, yes please!
The No Doubt rocker and style and beauty icon has teamed up with OPI on a special edition collection of nail lacquers—and we can’t WAIT to get our hands on them. Set to drop in January 2014, the collection was inspired by this year’s Met Gala theme, PUNK: Chaos to Couture. According to Fashionista, the idea was to create a line that celebrated “the role of music as a major influence in fashion.” And, in the words of OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fishmann, “With her expertise as a singer, songwriter, and designer, who better to collaborate with than Gwen Stefani? Known for her trademark red lips, bold eye makeup, and nail art, Gwen uses beauty to accessorize her style.”
The seven-piece collection will include shades like Hey Baby, a glossy pink crème; I Sing in Color, a glossy blackberry crème; Love.Angel.Music.Baby, a matte gold polish with a satin sheen; 4 in the Morning, a satin black lacquer; In True Stefani Fashion, a holographic blast of silver glitter; and, of course, a signature shade inspired by Gwen’s red lipstick called Over & Over A-Gwen.
Not going to lie: We kind of wish there were more than just seven shades available. In case OPI and Gwen need a little more inspiration, we came up with a few shades we’d love to see in their collaboration:
Just a Girl: Bubblegum pink holographic glitter
Brace Face: Matte silver satin
Harajuku Girl: Metallic pink with flecks of black glitter
5X Platinum: Metallic silver
L.A.M.B: Black and white textured nail wrap
Rock Mama: Red glitter
Tell us: What sorts of shades would you like to see from Gwen Stefani X OPI?
