I know that Drew Barrymore’s Flower Beauty has been around for a little while now, but I haven’t yet gotten the chance to try them out. Sad face, right? Bit it looks like today is my lucky day, because I just found some fab goodies from Flower in our mailbox—including the glorious little lip treat known as Sheer Up lip tint ($7.98, walmart.com). What a delightful surprise!
I LOVE Clinique’s Chubby Sticks, but I don’t always love the price. That’s where Flower comes in. Their whole philosophy involves NOT pouring all their resources into advertising—which means that all of that money can go into formulas and packaging instead. The results? High quality cosmetics at tremendously affordable price points. Oh, and did I mention that they’re proudly made in the US and never, ever tested on animals?
Sheer Up is EXACTLY what I’m looking for in a winter lippie: Like my good pal the Chubby Stick, it’s a glossy lip balm with a boatload of color that glides on super smoothly. Its twist-up point means you’ll never need to bother with a sharpener, and it’s stupidly easy to wear. I tried out it out in Bare Blush (the middle shade in that pic up top), a pretty petal pink with just a hint of shimmer that’s perfect for everyday wear; if pale pink isn’t your thing, though, it comes in four other colors ranging from Dewy Rose to Airy Orchid. True, I needed to reapply it a few times throughout the day, but that’s true for most glosses and balms—and besides, it’s so easy to put on that I didn’t even need a mirror to do it. It left my lips lightly tinted and gorgeously soft, and at a mere $7.98 a pop, it’s less than half the price of a Chubby Stick. I’m happy—and my wallet is happy.
Grab yours at Walmart stores or online at walmart.com. Pucker up!
