In honor of the engagement of Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, we would like to present to you a scene from the very special, as-yet-unproduced crossover episode of ‘The O.C’. and ‘Gossip Girl’ celebrating the marriage of Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf:
[Seth and Blair stand before their officiant, who is GEORGE LUCAS.]
GEORGE LUCAS: Do you, Blair, take Seth to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?
BLAIR: I do.
GEORGE LUCAS: And do you, Seth, take Blair to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?
SETH: Okay, so, you know how Batman and Catwoman keep circling around each other? Even though they seem like they shouldn’t be together, they’re super attracted to each other ALL. The TIME. And even have, y’know, a kid together—but they can never really outright declare how much they dig each other because of all the craziness involved in being an active part of Gotham’s superhero-villain scene? Well, what if they COULD let the world know? How would Gotham take it? Would Alfred approve?
SETH: Or Commissioner Gordon? Or the Oracle?
SETH: What about—
[SETH falls silent.]
BLAIR: Do you?
SETH: I do. I do! I SO do!
BLAIR: Then shut up and kiss me.
[He does. Then he grabs a small glass from a nearby table and throws it to the ground, smashing it, while their guests shout “Mazel tov!”]
