Lady Gaga Is ‘Single White Female’-ing Donatella in Her New Versace Campaign

Lady Gaga looks scarily like Donatella Versace in the new Versace campaign. 'Single White Female,' much?

Well, Lady Gaga’s new Versace campaign is here—and apparently her slow transformation into becoming Donatella Versace is complete, because seriously. How freaky are the similarities? For comparison purposes, here’s Donatella back in the day:

The resemblance is UNCANNY. Single White Female, much?

Interestingly, though, Donatella herself doesn’t actually seem to mind; in fact, she’s super gung-ho about the whole thing. “I am honored that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign,” she said according to Vogue UK.  “I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA.”

WAIT. What if Gaga isn’t Single White Female-ing Donatella? What if Donatella has turned Gaga into a science experiment, likely involving the injection of actual Versace DNA into the singer? Augh! Horrifying! Run, Gaga! Run while you still can!

Although I suppose that if being part of such a science project meant I got to wear clothes like this, I probably wouldn’t be too quick to run, either:

(And yes, that does in fact look like the same gown she wore to the AMAs this weekend—minus the horse, of course.)

Anyhoo, for the curious the campaign was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.

Tell us: Single White Female or science experiment?
