Playboy’s 60th anniversary hits newsstands on Friday, so hey, guess what? It’s time for a peek at Kate Moss’ much anticipated cover!
Fashion photogs Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot shot Kate for the January/February 2014 issue of Hugh Hefner’s baby; in preparation for the magazine’s release, they decided to give us a little taste of what’s to come via their Instagram account. Kate donned a classic Playboy Bunny costume for the occasion, and we’ve got to say, she wears it well. Who knew Playboy could be so haute?
It’s kind of both unsurprising and surprising to see Kate in Playboy. On the one hand, given that she’s spent rather a lot of her career stripping her clothes off with abandon, it seems only natural that she’d appear in Playboy at some point; on the other, though, she’s mostly done the stripping for the purposes of Art and Fashion, rather than for ladmag fodder.
For good measure, here’s an artsy, filtered shot of Kate posing with her cover:
Another artsy, filtered shot of a few copies strewn about in a come-hither fashion (insofar as it is possible for an inanimate object to get all “come hither,” that is):
AND… here’s a sneak peek at the editorial itself:
The issue is already available for download, so if you reeeeeeeally can’t wait until Friday to see the whole thing, you can nab it digitally.
Tell us: What do you think about Kate’s cover?
