Joe Jonas wrote a post-Jonas Brothers breakup piece for the December 9 issue of New York Magazine—and by “wrote,” I mean dictated (“as told to Jennifer Vineyard,” the piece opens with); “Joe Jonas: My Life As a Jonas Brother” hit the internets on December 1, so odds are you’ve heard something about it in the past few days. If you haven’t read it, the general gist of it is this: First they were a struggling band; Disney made them famous; then Disney screwed them over because it wouldn’t let them grow up. To an extent, I’m sure that this is true; but at the same time, the piece is a little… well, wanky. This seems to be the general consensus about it, as well, so I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.
