Didn’t shop on Black Friday or Cyber Monday? Don’t freak out—because those sales are probably still going on right this very minute.
According to Fashionista, data compiled by Hukkster indicates that a whopping 91 percent of items on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday are STILL on sale a week later. Moreover, you can usually nab the best deals in December and January, since retailers are doing their best then to get rid of old stock to make way for new items. So if you don’t really do the Black Friday or Cyber Monday thing but still can’t feel like maaaaaaaaybe you missed out, don’t worry—there are still TONS of deals to be had.
The one thing this knowledge DOESN’T help is the fear is that by the time Black Friday comes to a close, all the good stuff will be gone. But then I suppose the question really becomes whether “the good stuff” is worth literally fighting tooth and nail for in the wee hours of the morning on or the day after a holiday. For me, it’s not, no matter how good the deal is—largely due to things like (WARNING: gory photos ahead) this. No deal is worth that. Also, paying $600 for a $1,000 television isn’t actually saving $400; it’s spending $400 that you probably didn’t have to.
But that’s just me.
Hukkster, by the way, is a nifty little app that helps its users track sales and land deals, so for the budget-conscious shopper, it’s worth checking out. Now go forth and shop—safely!
