Have you guys been watching the HBO show, Girls? I didn’t when it first came out, but the other weekend I ended up having one of those crazy TV marathons and I plowed through the entire first season. I love it! So I was really interested to learn that Allison Williams, who plays “Marnie” on the series (basically the “pretty girl” role), recently signed on to a partnership with Simple Skincare — a brand I’ve been working with for the past year and really love.

It’s a great fit for WIlliams, who has a fresh-faced, natural beauty. She’s the kind of girl I’d love to hate if she weren’t so smart and talented — and funny! Here are 10 fun facts about the up-and-coming gal:

1. She’s FUNNY! Check out this video from a four-part original mini series for Funnyordie.com called “Before Happily Ever After…Will & Kate” that Williams wrote and stars in (as none other than Kate Middleton, of course!):

2. She told her parents she wanted to be an actress when she was 4 years old.

3. Speaking of her parents — you might have heard of them. Her mom, Jane, has a weekly radio show on Bloomberg radio called “Bloomberg Edu” which discusses the education issues in the United States and her dad is, oh, that guy, Brian Williams? You know? As in the anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News.

4. She has sensitive skin (hence the Simple deal!)

“As a longtime fan of Simple skincare, I was so excited when they approached me about becoming their brand ambassador,” said Williams. “I love that their products keep my skin healthy-looking, without irritating it, because Simple is made for sensitive skin, like mine.”

According to Simple, sensitive skin is an issue for 58 percent of women, just like Williams and moi. Williams believes in the brand’s holistic approach to skincare and loves how Simple uses experts – the Simple Advisory Board – to educate women about the different factors including diet, fitness, and lifestyle that can affect skin health.

5. She can sing…
