H and M Conscious Exclusive collection

H&M has been dabbling in eco-friendly fashion for a while now—remember that stunning black and white number Michelle Williams wore to the BAFTAs in 2012?—and now they’re at it again: The brand’s new Conscious Exclusive formalwear collection launches on April 12.

Each piece in the Conscious Exclusive collection is made from sustainable materials like organic cotton and recycled polyester. Helen Hunt wore a Conscious Exclusive gown to the Oscars this year (with, admittedly, mixed results), but though that particular dress won’t be for sale, there are still plenty of pieces from which to choose. Said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s Head of Design, “I love how this collection has pure glamour and style and is made from more sustainable materials. For us at H&M, it’s natural to think about sustainability and to have it at the heart of our work.”
