Would You Let Gwyneth Paltrow Blow Out Your Hair?
Gwyneth Paltrow, her trainer Tracy Anderson, and hairstylist David Babaii are teaming up on a new fitness studio and blow dry bar. Yea or nay?
To be fair, we MIGHT let Gwyneth Paltrow give us a blow-out if she offered to—we’re totally envious of her perfectly straight and frizz-free locks—but we get the feeling that she’s probably not going to be the one handling the blow dryers.
According to Cosmopolitan.com, Gwynnie and her long-time trainer, Tracy Anderson, have teamed up with celeb hairstylist David Babaii on a brand-new venture: A blow dry bar. There’s just one catch: It’s super chi-chi (of course) and members-only.
The blow dry bar, you see, is part of a new flagship location of the trainer’s Tracy Anderson Studio fitness studios. Said Tracy to Cosmo, “We are so excited to have partnered with David Babaii on the blow dry bar that we’ll be offering to members of our flagship studio located in Brentwood, CA.” She continued, “As our members transform themselves into the women and men they want to be, the David Babaii team will design a hairstyle customized for their face shape and lifestyle, as well as a product regime of what to use to keep them looking their best while on the go.” No prices are available yet, but knowing Gwynnie’s tastes, they’ll be not so much with the wallet-friendliness.
Here’s the lowdown from David Babaii himself: “It’s not just going to be a blowout bar,” the stylist told People. “It’s going to be, ‘Hey, why don’t we do this style with your new body? It’s more about your lifestyle. There’s no judgment.”
Fourteen products from Babaii’s haircare line will also be available at the bar, all of which are sulfate-, paraben-, petrochemical-, and cruelty-free. “It’s all about healthy ingredients, healthy products,” David explained. “And not getting something that you can do at home. It’s going to be a feel good bar. It’ll be cool. If you want that sleek, straight, Gwyneth look, treat! If you want the Kate Hudson bohemian waves, great!”
The blow dry bar opens on April 4 alongside the Brentwood location of Tracy Anderson Studio. Memberships are limited and are filling up fast, so if you live in the area and want to hop on board (and have the disposable income to do so), shoot an email to email@example.com for rates and availabilities.
