Heidi Klum Saves Son + Nannies from Drowning (Everyone’s Okay!)
Heidi Klum’s Easter almost turned into a tragedy when her son and two nannies were swept out into the ocean in Hawaii. Heidi to the rescue!
We all know how much Heidi Klum loves her holidays—but her Easter almost took a turn tragic turn.
Heidi spent Easter weekend vacationing in Hawaii on the island of Oahu with her family, including her three kids, eight-year-old Leni, seven-year-old Henry, six-year-old Johan, and three-year-old Lou. While they were all enjoying the sun and surf on Easter Sunday, Henry and two nannies were suddenly swept away in a large riptide. Talk about terrifying!
The 39-year-old model and her bodyguard boyfriend, Martin Kristen, leapt to the rescue, aiding in the trio’s rescue and saving them from drowning. Said Heidi to Us Weekly about the incident, “We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water.” She continued, “Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely.”
We’re glad everyone is safe! It looks like they had a wonderful holiday in spite of the near-disaster; earlier in the day, Heidi Tweeted a picture of colorful Easter eggs dotting the shoreline. Would that we could all spend our Easters in a tropical paradise!
