White may be the traditional color for wedding dresses, but Shenae Grimes doesn’t think that means you HAVE to get married in white. Get a load of her black wedding gown!

The 90210 actress and British model and musician Josh Beech began dating in the spring of 2012; they announced they were engaged December of that same year, and they just tied the knot last Friday. Shenae Tweeted the pic above of her smooching her new hubby—AND her statement-making gown.

The gown is part of Vera Wang’s Fall 2012 bridal collection; it’s called the Josephine, and it boasts loads of floaty tulle, a lace bodice with a halter top, and an A-line silhouette:

Vera Wang, of course, was the designer who kicked off the black wedding gown trend: Her dark and dramatic dramatic Fall 2012 bridal line hit the scene shortly before she announced her separation from her husband, Arthur Becker. As is the case with any artist worth her salt, Vera dealt with the end of her marriage through her designs—but lest we think that the collection was JUST that, the trend caught on, and black wedding dresses have been having their moment in the sun ever since.

For our part, we applaud Shenae her unique choice and think she looks fabulous. What do you think, Bettys?
