Baby Tatum has arrived—and it’s a girl!

According to Us Weekly, Channing Tatum and his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, welcomed their first child together last Thursday in London. Congratulations to the happy new family!

Why London? Channing is currently shooting the upcoming sci-fi flick Jupiter Ascending there; naturally, his expectant came along. He told Ryan Seacrest in a recent interview, “We’re going to actually have the baby in London while I’m shooting, and then there will be no downtime whatsoever after that.” And when he says “no downtime,” he means it—on top of getting a grip on this whole parenting thing, Channing and Jenna will be heading right back to work, with production for Jupiter Ascending moving to Chicago in July and shooting beginning on Jenna’s new Lifetime series, Witches of East End.

Channing and Jenna first met on the set of 2006’s Step Up; they wed in 2009 and announced their pregnancy this past December. Among the things Channing has to look forward to about being a new dad is the art of changing a diaper. “I have never changed a diaper before,” he told People back in February, “so I may need some help learning. I don’t have friends who have kids, so it’s going to be an interesting experience to learn how to change a diaper. I hope I don’t have any problems where the diaper falls off and the baby poops on the ground.” Yikes! But he continued, “But once the baby is born, I’ll definitely do the diaper changing. If it means touching the poop and getting peed on, I’ll still do it. I’m up for the challenge.” That’s dedication.

Congrats again, Tatum family!

UPDATE: She’s got a name, and it’s… Everly!
