VIDEO: This Is How People Who Haven’t Read the Books Reacted to Sunday Night’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Episode

WARNING: SPOILERS for season 3, episode 9 of 'Game of Thrones.' But in case you were wondering how people who haven't read the books reacted to the episode... here you go.

Warning: SPOILERS. SPOILERS ABOUND. SPOILERS EEEEEEEEEEVERYWHERE. So if you either haven’t read the books or haven’t seen the most recent episode of Game of Thrones and are planning to do either in the near future, proceed at your own risk, because SPOILERS.

Now then! Shall we continue?

For non-readers of George R. R. Martin’s series A Song of Ice and Fire, this past Sunday night’s episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones came as something of a shock: In an event known as the Red Wedding, a whoooooole bunch of important characters got offed… and it was brutal. It was brutal even for those of us who HAVE read the books, because… well, yikes. Perhaps unsurprisingly, however, a plethora of book readers who have been watching the show with their non-reader friends set up cameras to record the non-readers’ reactions to the Red Wedding and posted the results on YouTube. Intrepid YouTube user Horrorcirdan, however, took it a step further and put together a massive compilation with the highlights from almost 20 such videos. It’s a little bit priceless, so if you’re looking for some levity following the feeling of “AGH AGH AGH WHAT DID THEY DO?!”, check it out:

Oh, and Maisie WIlliams, who plays fan favorite Arya Stark on the show, got in on the action, too, posting this little gem on Vine:

Never change, Maisie. Never change.

Oh, and one last little tidbit: Here’s what Michelle Fairley, AKA Catelyn Stark, thought of the episode.

Tell us: What did you think of the episode?
