Video: Britney Spears’ Kids Make Their Music Video Debuts in “Ooh La La” for ‘The Smurfs 2′

Britney Spears and her two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, star in Brit's newest music video for "Ooh La La." Be sure to catch 'The Smurfs' in cinemas later this month!

Britney Spears Ooh La La

Britney Spears may not be engaged anymore, but she certainly isn’t sitting around and wallowing in it—she’s been busy, busy, busy getting back into the studio. Want to see what she’s been working on? Here you go!

The pop idol’s newest music video just dropped, and it’s actually pretty cute. It’s for the song “Ooh La La,” which Britney recorded for the oh-so-creatively-named sequel to 2011’s Smurfs reboot, The Smurfs 2—and it features her two sons, six-year-old Jayden James and seven-year-old Sean Preston. In it, Brit and her boys are enjoying The Smurfs 2 in a darkened movie theater when a stray lightning bolt from one of Gargamel’s (Hank Azaria) strange contraptions reaches a glowing blue finger out and steals Britney away. What’s a girl to do when she finds herself zapped into a movie populated by tiny little blue creatures (and suddenly clad in a super cute red dress to boot)? Sing a song, of course! Check it out:

I’m left with a few questions at the end—did Brit Brit ever manage to get OUT of the movie when the song was over? Is she stuck there for good? What about Preston and Jayden? Who’s supervising them in their mom’s absence?—but in all seriousness, Britney is looking pretty good these days, no? Sure, she’s not pulling those crazy dance moves she was known for back in the day, but she actually looks like she’s having FUN here—which we haven’t really seen from her for a while. She seems to have enjoyed having her kids on set, too; she teased the video from her Instagram account a few days ago, posting a shot of the three of them in the movie theater along with the caption, “Omg. How CUTE are my boys?!”

On a costuming note, I’m not totally sure who decided to dress Jayden (I think it’s Jayden, at least—am I wrong? Is it Preston?) in a Catcher in the Rye t-shirt, as he seems a little young to have read the book; but hey, maybe it’ll inspire him to pick it up when he’s older. For those of you coveting Britney’s bright red frock, this lookalike might fit the bill.

In addition to her contribution to the Smurfs 2 soundtrack, Britney is also hard at work on her eighth studio album; the as-yet-unnamed record is tentatively scheduled for a fall 2013 release, so stay tuned for more info as it rolls in. She’ll also be performing a residency with Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

Be sure to catch The Smurfs 2 when it hits cinemas on July 31!
