Have you been dreaming all your life of living in a house once owned by fashion royalty? Do you have an unbelievably large chunk of change at your disposal? If the answer to both of these questions is “yes,” then A) we are incredibly jealous of you, and B) we’ve got just the opportunity you’ve been waiting for: The Miami mansion previously owned by Gianni Versace is hitting the auction block this fall.
According to Vogue UK, the massive—and by “massive,” I mean 23,000 square feet with 10 bedrooms—home will go up for auction on site on September 17. The late, great designer originally bought the property in 1993 before dropping $33 million on renovations for it. The results? Hand-painted frescoes, marble statues, and a 54-foot mosaic pool with 24-carat gold. Yowza!
The building, which operated as a boutique hotel for several years before closing, has been up for sale since June 2012; the asking price was dropped from $125 million to $75 million, but no dice so far (hence, the auction). Check out some drool-worthy pics after the jump!
