Confession: I’ve never actually done any DIY beauty treatments. I’m not totally sure why; I like to cook and bake, so usually my kitchen is pretty well stocked with things I could just as easily smear on my face as eat. I’m a sucker for the chocolate-caramel combination, though, so when I got wind of this DIY caramel facial inspired by a new treat from Hershey’s—their Simple Pleasures Milk Chocolate with Creamy Caramel candies—well, let’s just say that it seemed as good a time as any to give it a shot.

And you know what? I’m REALLY glad I did, because this thing is AWESOME. Using just a couple of ingredients, you can give yourself a totally decadent spa experience right from the comfort of your own home—just the thing to help you unwind at the end of a long day.

This recipe comes to us from the Spa at the Hotel Hershey—which, you might recall, our very own Courtney Cachet got to experience firsthand back in February. The mask’s brown sugar exfoliates and hydrates your skin; honey prevents skin dehydration and acts as a natural antiseptic; oatmeal removes dirt and oil from pores; and milk’s amino acids moisturize and smooth the skin. Check out the step-by-step instructions (including pretty pictures) up next!
