From Drunken Phone Number Exchange to Dramatic Breakup: Your Summer Fling In a Playlist

There are playlists that celebrate the glorious wonder that is true love. This is not that kind of playlist.

This? This won’t last.

Ah, the summer fling. Whether it’s been years since you’ve puked your guts out in a taxi as the driver shouted four-letter words we won’t repeat here or mere hours since your last tipsy makeout session, no one is immune to the summer fling. And when you’re spending roughly 50 percent of your time with a guy who’s 100 percent wrong for you, you should have a trendy playlist plucked from the iTunes charts. Oh, and GIFs, because who doesn’t love those? No one, that’s who.

Without further ado, we present you with your summer fling a.k.a. hot-mess-of-a-two-month-barely-a-relationship in this not-so-great playlist:

22” by Taylor Swift

quickly devolves into

Crazy Kids” by Ke$ha featuring

You make a lot of mistakes (at least that’s what you can gather from Facebook the next morning). You didn’t even know you knew how to twerk.

We Can’t Stop” by Miley Cyrus

Helloooo cute bartender…

Come & Get It” by Selena Gomez

He’s Adam Levine hot –after a few drinks, but who’s counting?

Love Somebody” by Maroon 5

Sparks fly. Wait, maybe that was a glass. He takes your number on the back of a napkin. You kiss the top of the napkin in a “sexy” way that isn’t actually sexy at all.

See You Again” by Carrie Underwood

One thing leads to another and you two become practically inseparable –well, unless it’s ladies’ night at the club downtown.

I Need Your Love” by Calvin Harris

You start writing a lot of bad poetry. Really bad poetry (we’ve been there).

Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey

You even go out on a double date with your gay BFF and his new boyfriend (the one you accidentally hit on before you knew he was more of a shopping buddy than fling material).

Same Love” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Mary Lambert

One unsuspecting morning spent nursing a hangover, you get a call from your guy’s not-so-ex girlfriend. WTF, right?! He’s not even that cute!

I Knew You Were Trouble” by Taylor Swift

You nearly drown in your sorrows (and alcohol). Literally. Get it together, girl!

Summertime Sadness” by Lana Del Rey

You take him back. It feels like this for a week…

Still Into You” by Paramore

…until you realize that you have much more self-respect than that. Boys come and go, but your gal pals are forever.

I Love It” by Icona Pop featuring Charli XCX

  1. Nice attractive post Diana but one thing I can say that we need to be careful in the summer when we have a lot of fun. We can use the best resources for hiking with friends and a lot of people try to be more professional and do the things that make them great financially. Also having the best playlist is a great idea that helps to have more fun.

  2. Yes every where is love and girls..actually it,s very rear who won,t get a beautiful girl company or get her as a life partner. but beautiful girls got huge requirements lolzz… thats true and true. what ever it is magnetic messaging will teach you the right way to make a girl yours. it,s a killer method using thousand of people. there is nothing funny only real tips and tricks to get her…
