2. The Sting (1973)
I didn’t realize it until significantly later on, but a lot of my favorite films when I was a kid (and which I still adore now) featured Eileen. The Sting was probably the first one I saw; knowing how much I enjoyed ragtime music and eight-paneled hats, my dad introduced me to it when I was about seven or eight years old. It was love at first viewing, although it would take me some time to square with the fact that Billie was the same person as Mrs. Peacock in Clue later on.
