Was anyone else surprised at how well-rested William and Kate looked in their first family photos with Prince George? Kate in particular was positively glowing—but then again, maybe new parenthood will do that to you despite the exhaustion.
Naturally, the public has been as interested in what Kate was wearing in those pics as they were in the Royal Baby—so we dug around and found all the deets for you. Here’s the dish: The Duchess of Cambridge’s pretty pink frock is the ‘Jolene’ dress from maternity label Seraphine. She apparently loves it so much that she owns it in three colors: The fuchsia shade she donned for the photos, navy, and the blossom print she wore the day after she left the hospital.
At $79, the dress is surprisingly affordable—but we found an even MORE affordable lookalike from ASOS for about half the cost. Not only that, but you’ll probably have an easier time getting a hold of less expensive option, too; there’s a note on Seraphine’s website right now that reads, “Due to the high popularity of this style, please be advised that orders will be dispatched… commencing 16th of September.”
The photos unfortunately don’t allow us to see the entirety of Kate’s outfit, but we’d pair the dress with some ballet flats (because who—besides Kim Kardashian, that is—would want to wear sky-high heels right after giving birth?); accordingly, that’s what we’ve done here. Whether you’re on a tight budget or live like royalty, one (or both!) of these ensembles will see you through your first days with Baby in style!
