2. SPARKLY KATE SPADE HEELS THAT DON’T KILL MY FEET!!!! I love them so much I can’t hide them away in a closet, so they live on top of a bookshelf where I can gaze at them adoringly and they can wink at me while I’m on boring conference calls. These are my spirit animals. I feel gorgeous whenever I wear them and they totally do not make my feet bleed. (By the way I considered “editing” my bookshelf so I looked neater and more organized but I guess you might as well know I’m the kind of person who gets a frame and leaves it without a photo in it for like a year or five. Also Martha Stewart totally recommends using plastic pigs as “accent” objects.)
3. The “Amaro” filter on Instagram. OMG I LOVE YOU.
Look mom, no pores! CAN I PLEASE JUST PUT THIS FILTER ON MY FACE PERMANENTLY? Don’t you totally think that’s my sister? Because that’s my daughter! I know!
OK no — seriously folks — all kidding aside I do love that filter. (Are you thinking hey, wait, a filter? That’s cheating! That’s like, Photoshop! Then to you I say I KNOW ISN’T IT GREAT?!)
4. Taking care of my skin. A little extra pampering really can go a long way to making me feel better. If I’m too tired at night to wash my face (YES! I ADMIT IT!!!), the Simple Cleansing Wipes for Sensitive Skin are a lifesaver. A few swipes followed by the Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer, which I lurve, and I feel fully prepared for a night of beauty sleep. (Just call me Sleeping Beauty!)
5. Getting my hair did.
WHY can’t I ever blow out my hair as nicely as a professional? It’s not rocket science, is it? Or is it? I hate the process of going to get my hair done ug it takes so LONG SO BORING AHHHHHHHH, so I do it as infrequently as possible (like, once a year if I’m lucky), but I love walking OUT of the salon with my hair all shiny and perfect. I should invest in blow-outs more often. Also, lottery tickets.
6. Visiting my mom.
My mom is my all time NUMBER ONE FAN. She basically thinks I’m the most incredibly gorgeous, talented, amazing — and let’s not forget HILARIOUS! — creature ever to grace planet Earth. You should actually probably send her a thank you note for having me. She not only laughs at all my jokes but she always tells me how beautiful I am, and she’s so convinced that it’s hard not to believe her.
7. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. I guess you could say this is my signature scent: It’s totally me and I feel totally fancy and lovely whenever I spray a little on. (Oooh I just Googled to find the link for you and I see they have Coco Mademoiselle BODY CREAM!!! Wants it!)
TELL ME! What makes you feel beautiful? Your favorite lipstick? The way your kitten smiles at you? Those jeans that make your butt look AhhMAYzing?
