John Edwards Denies Proposing to Rielle Hunter
A spokesperson for Edwards says the he and his mistress don’t even talk anymore.
A spokesperson for John Edwards has told People that the National Enquirer story claiming he proposed to his former mistress, Rielle Hunter, is completely false.
The article claims that the couple will wed after Edwards’ divorce from his wife, Elizabeth, is final. But, “It’s absolutely not true,” says the source.
In fact, Edwards and Hunter barely even talk to each other anymore. When they do speak, it’s “through a third party,” says the spokesperson, to figure out when Edwards will visit his 2-year-old daughter he had with Hunter, Francis Quinn. And even then, when Edwards is around, Hunter makes sure that she isn’t.
We’re not sure who to believe – Edwards has a track record of denying National Enquirer stories that have turned out to be true (like the one that broke about his affair, and the other one that said he had a love child with Hunter). What do you think? (People)
