As long as you plan your treats ahead of time (instead of having one whenever, wherever), and make sure to consume all the healthy foods and beverages from the key food groups (e.g. fruits, veggies, low fat dairy, and lean meat and beans (including nuts/fish/eggs), you can have one without guilt (a useless emotion) and still eat healthfully. A good rule of thumb: keep treats to one a day, and make sure calories for each stay between 100 and 150 max. Hope this helps! 🙂

  2. i agree. veggies and fruits are the best diet plan. they make you full easily and the best part is that it isn’t fattening. i always have an apple in the morning and it fills me up.

  3. I have cancer and now, terrible insomnia. I sleep less than 2 hours per night with no naps during the day. Due to pain and exhaustion, I only get dressed once a month to go to the dr. This, along with being hungry every 4 hours (since I’m up 23 hours/day) has resulted in a 30 lb. weight gain for me in 3 months. I worked for 34 years and dressed up every day for my professional job and never gained an ounce because I could tell immediately from the waistband of my skirt. That tip about wearing something fabulous is one of the best I have read because you will notice any weight gain at once and be able to cut back on eating and/or up the exercise. I am miserable because I have never had “fat clothes” in my seven closets and now I dread getting dressed to go to the doctor because I have nothing that fits. I have become one of those overweight old ladies who wear leggings and long tunics and it just kills me to look in the mirror. How could I have let this happen???
