Having sex can be dangerous to your health – at least according to a new survey.

The poll of 1,000 adults in the UK also found that 2 percent of respondents suffered broken bones in the heat of passion, while 5 percent had to take time off from work because of “sex-related injuries.” One third reported suffering lesser injuries such as an ache or strain.

“Sex is a risky business these days,” said a spokesman for the phone recycling business,, which commissioned the survey.

The top 5 places people were injured during sex: the sofa; on the stairs; in or on the car; in the shower; and in the bedroom. (One in 50 respondents said they had fallen off the bed.)

The top 5 household items destroyed in moments of passion: bed frames; wine and beer glasses; picture frames; chairs and tea cups. (Walls placed a close sixth.)

Said the Phonepiggybank spokesman, “Our advice would be to remove any dangerous objects well before you start making love—and take care while in the act.” (Daily Mail)
