ASK REAL GUYS
I have a stronger sex drive...
Dear ASK REAL GUYS: My husband and I have been together 14 years, married for five. I seem to have a bigger sex drive than he does. Usually we get intimate about once a week, but usually I have to initiate it. When we do have sex, it's awesome for both of us, but I just wish it was more often. We both have full-time jobs and a child, so we don't always have a chance, but when we do, sometimes he'd rather sleep. I haven't had many partners, but I've heard that guys always want sex. In our case, it's me that almost ALWAYS wants it. Our marriage is strong, and we are still very happy together, so I'm not worried about that. Any suggestions about why this is happening?
Steven: It could be happening for a few reasons: he's tired; he's thinking about work stuff; he doesn't realize it's that important to you; and there's an outside chance that he has lost his sex drive or is cheating on you. Most likely there's nothing to worry about. I would have a conversation with him; tell him what you want and make sure you carve out time for sex. Finally, remember men are very visual so you might want to ask him what turns him on and what his fantasies are. And remember men are driven by the sex more than the romance.
