Dear ASK REAL GUYS: I get really shy and nervous when I see a cute guy I want to talk to. How do I get over my fear and just be confident?

Steven: Shy and nervous behavior can be adorable to a man. The key is to find a way to let him know that you are interested. You could just keep glancing over his way or have a friend act as a liaison. Perhaps the easiest, most direct way is to go over to him and just start a conversation.

Remember, talk to him as an equal, and he will respect you more. I don't think there's anything wrong with, after talking to him and building rapport, saying, "We should get together some time." If he has any confidence in himself he will seize that opportunity if he's interested. Finally, one easy ice breaker is to pay him some type of compliment.
