Does he Want a Baby or not?
Dear ASK REAL GUYS: My husband and I have been talking about having another baby. He was the one who brought it up. However, ever since I've gone off birth control, we've been having less sex. Is he having second thoughts and is just afraid to tell me, or has he changed his mind completely? How do I bring it up without sounding like I'm accusing him of changing his mind and being inconsistent? I don't want to end up in an argument.
Steven: My advice is to print out your question and read it to him. You can share with him that you are afraid of his reaction and getting into an argument but feel it is important to get this out in the open and to find out the truth. Remember, your job here is to probe and find out what is really going on. If you get defensive, you will hurt the possibility of finding out what the real truth is. If you can't be up-front and honest and discuss issues, it might be a sign of a bigger problem. After all, one major key to any relationship is the way you resolve issues. Most likely this is nothing to be worried about, but it is something to discuss and get handled so you can experience the joys of parenthood again.
