Gossip Girl

The dry spell is over — Gossip Girl is officially back! If the episodes we’ve seen so far are any indication, the rest of this third season will be truly scandalous. From Nate and Serena’s hot hookups to Lily and Rufus’s rocky marriage to (gasp!) Chuck Bass uncovering the truth about his mother, we’ve cleared our schedule on Monday nights (at 9pm EST on The CW) for the foreseeable future.

But before we get too excited about the drama to come, let’s look back at the classic moments that made us Upper East Side wannabes in the first place. Here are the top 10 moments from “the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite.”

1. Nate and Serena’s steamy hookup
For those who had any doubts about how good Gossip Girl would be, they were quickly squashed in season one when we saw Blair Waldorf’s (Leighton Meester) boyfriend, Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), hook up with her best friend, Serena Van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) after a wedding. It was their dirty secret, until Nate spilled the beans to Blair, and Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), Nate’s best friend, confessed he already knew what had happened. The flashback was sexy as hell, and Nate has always had a thing for S since.

2. Blair’s seductive cabaret dance at The Victrola
In this scene, Constance Billiard’s queen bee sheds her “royal” image when she lets loose in Chuck’s new burlesque club The Victrola. Her sultry dance is enough to make Chuck weak in the knees, which leads to Blair finally losing her V-card in the back of a limo… to sworn enemy Chuck Bass no less.
