If you’re going to cheat, you might as well do it with someone as hot as Channing Tatum, the sex-on-a-stick who plays Winona Ryder’s other man in The Dilemma, out this Friday. The 30-year-old Alabama native has been blessed with good looks, a hot bod, and dance moves to put all other guys to shame. Needless to say, we can’t get enough of him.

With that in mind, here are 10 sexy facts about Channing (or Chan, as his close friends, like us, call him):

1. He started out as a model.
Before he became the actor whom we know and love in films like Step Up and Dear John, Channing was just your average, ridiculously hot model in Miami. He was pretty popular too, booking print ad gigs with Abercrombie & Fitch, Dolce & Gabbana, Emporio Armani, Nautica, and Gap. He even had TV commercial spots for Pepsi, and this one for Mountain Dew:

2. He loved football.
“The only reason I wanted to graduate high school was to get a scholarship and play football,” Channing once said. He did just that, playing as a linebacker and defensive end in military school until he was awarded a full athletic scholarship at Glenville State College in West Virginia. He would drop out later on.

3. He was a male stripper.
Channing worked plenty of odd jobs back in the day—he was a construction worker, a mortgage broker, a counter salesman at Dillard’s, and an attendant in a puppy and kitty nursery—but by far, his most peculiar (and scandalous) gig was when he was a male stripper at Joy Nightclub in Florida. He would perform four nights a week with the name Chan, and would only rake in about $100-150 a night. If we had been there, he would’ve made a lot more.
