Ever since Winter’s Bone, Jennifer Lawrence’s star has been rapidly on the rise. She was the second youngest actress ever to be nominated for the Best Leading Actress Oscar; even better, she doesn’t seem to have been a one-hit wonder. This year alone, she starred in three acclaimed films (The Beaver, Like Crazy, and X-Men: First Class), and we can’t wait to watch her kick some major arse in The Hunger Games this March. Go, Jennifer!
Teacher’s pet: Taylor Swift
We’re aligning “teacher” with “the media” here, and note that “teacher’s pet” isn’t necessarily a bad thing. How does Taylor Swift get along so well with media folk? We don’t really know, but we DO know that she’s a sweetheart through and through.
Most infamous: Lindsay Lohan
As if this award could go to anyone else. Shoplifting? Jail? Slacking on her community service hours? Not having to serve a 30-day sentence? Playboy? Losing her purse in Hawaii? All part of a hard year’s work (or not) for the most infamous celeb around.
Best personality: Kristen Wiig
Like Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig has been around for a while, but finally started coming into her own this year. How could you not love her in Bridesmaids or Paul? Super funny and super nice, she’s our best personality winner of the year.
Drama queen: Kim Kardashian (by a landslide!)
We’re off for the holidays on Monday, but tune on Tuesday, December 27 for part two of our 2011 Celebrity Superlatives. We’ll have the winners for craziest hair, hottest mess, most inspirational, and more!
