The copper dress backstage and on the runway.
As for the show: Believe you me, it was really something else! Herve Leger presented his signature bandage dresses—but with a super edgy feel. Some featured leather harnesses; others were embellished with intricate beading; and each one was accompanied by a baseball cap. A few of my favorite pieces were the many oversized fur coats (seriously, those hoods totally engulfed the models’ faces) and a copper and black dress. The pattern and beads on the dress gave it an exotic Egyptian feel.
File this one under “Noteworthy Trends”: The majority of the models wore spandex under their dresses with matching prints. Would you rock it, or would you leave it to the runways?
All in all, it was a great show that showcased edgy and sophisticated garments that are totally applicable to New York City’s freezing cold weather. Would that we could fill our closets with them ourselves!
