It’s Adele’s Turn to Get Waxed (No, STILL Not Like That) at Madame Tussauds!
Adele is the latest celeb to join the ranks of wax museum Madame Tussauds. Get all the deets here!
We don’t know what it is about them, but wax museums fascinated us—and none more than wax museum giant Madame Tussauds. With its original location in London and branches in such cities as New York, Los Angeles, Sidney, and Amsterdam), Madame Tussauds is well known for its astonishingly accurate and lifelike reproductions of both historical figures and of-the-moment celebs—and guess who’s joining the party next? Our girl Adele!
According to Vogue UK, the Oscar winner for this year’s Best Original Song will be immortalized in wax this summer. Stated Madame Tussauds London PR manager Nicole Fenner, “Adele is the perfect addition to the music line up here in London. She’s one of the world’s hottest properties right now and one of our most requested personalities. In fact, we’ve seen a huge increase in requests for her figure since Skyfall was released and the timing seems perfect to honor her after such phenomenal success with the song.” Hear, hear! Fenner continued, “She is one of the most influential British female artists and we know she is going to be a huge hit with our guests alongside our other pop greats. We’re very excited to welcome her to Madame Tussauds London.”
What will Adele’s inanimate lookalike be wearing? A knee-length polka dotted dress reminiscent of her 2012 Grammy Awards look. We heartily approve!
The figure will have its unveiling in July; an identical figure will also be displayed at the museum’s Amsterdam location. Just in case you missed it, here’s Adele’s stunning performance of the Skyfall theme from the Oscars:
Tell us: If you could add any celeb to the Madame Tussauds pantheon, who would it be?
