8 Lessons About Fashion + Beauty (And Life!) I Learned from ‘What Not To Wear’
After ten fabulous seasons, ‘What Not To Wear’ will be closing up its closet. In honor of the show, here are 8 lessons for fashion, beauty, and life we learned from it!
I’ve spoken before about my love/hate relationship with TLC, but not unlike Say Yes to the Dress, What Not To Wear is one of their shows that I actually like watching. The title is perhaps a little misleading; although it’s structured in terms of a negative, the show’s actual angle is quite positive.
Alas, news broke yesterday that after ten seasons, What Not To Wear will be closing up its closet and leaving the airwaves. Its final season will hit the small screen in July, after which we’ll have to try to find some other way to fill the gaping, dress-shaped hole in our hearts. So let’s send the show out with a bang, shall we? In honor of it and its two illustrious hosts, Clinton Kelly and Stacy London, here are eight lessons I’ve learned from What Not To Wear over its long and fabulous run. Each of these lessons applies first to style and beauty—but with a little extension of thought, they can apply to life, too. Thanks for the memories, Stacy and Clinton!
