9. Edward Norton
When it comes to environmental causes, Ed Norton is most interested in renewable energy: He helped laucnch BP’s Solar Neighbors program back in 2008 (long before the regretable oil disaster). He’s also on the board of trustees of Enterprise Community Partners, a non-profit developer of affordable, sustainable housing based in his hometown. Oh, and he’s also the president of the American branch of the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust. In 2009, Ed raised over $1 million for the Trust by fielding a team of 30 runners (including Alanis Morisette and David Blaine) in the New York Marathon.
