Dirty Dancing

It’s the time of year to cuddle under the comforter with your man, but it’s always the season for chick flicks! What to do? Sneak in one of these picks — they’re so good, even HE won’t mind watching!

1. The Legend of Billie Jean (1985)

The Legend of Billie Jean
Regard the ’80s awesomeness!

This high energy adventure highlights Helen Slater kicking butt playing pretty teen Billie Jean Davy. On the run from the cops she and her posse become a media sensation. Plus: Christian Slater when he was still hot!

2. Dirty Dancing (1987)
Because you know you’ve seen him singing to the soundtrack.

And because this is one your favorite scenes EVER (right?!):

3. Jerry Maguire (1996)
Every guy has dreamed about being a sports agent. And you can remind your sweetie … he had you at hello!

Here’s a sneak peek of the “You complete me” scene… sigh!

4. Somethings Gotta Give (2003)

Something's Gotta Give

Jack Nicholson’s character validates dating younger women. Man + Empowerment = Manpowerment!

5. Hitch (2005)

The combination of Kevin James‘ clumsiness and Will Smith‘s charisma is hilarious. In fact, One Tree Hill just quoted from it in a recent episode!

Funniest dance scene in all of human history? …

Now that we’ve identified a handful of chick flicks you’ll both love, here’s a a tip from a hottie I ran into recently …  At USA Network’s Characters Unite/The Moth Storytelling Event, White Collar star Matt Bomer told me his favorite 2010 film is Inception. Now ladies, while this may not encompass girl power and romance as a typical chick flick does, watching it with him may be a great way to earn brownie points while looking at a little bit of Leo. Not too shabby!
