5 Essentials Tips on How to Keep Your Skin Safe at the Beach
Yes, you love the feel of the sun on your skin and relaxing at the beach, but do you really want your skin to burn or prematurely age?
Summer is in full swing, and for most of us that means visits to the beach or pool, barbeques and other outdoor activities that put us front and center with the sun. And I’m sure it doesn’t take long for anyone who’s spent any considerable amount of time outdoors to realize that it doesn’t take much sun exposure to get sunburn. That’s because even if sunscreen has been applied and in the right dosage–many people don’t aptly apply enough SPF–it tends to wear off, wash off and sweat off over the course of a hot day. In addition to ensuring that you’ve reapplied at least every two hours, I have a few tips that I follow and recommend during the summertime. They’ll keep you stylish, and keep your skin well protected!
1. Wear sunglasses.
Shielding the delicate eye area, as well as stopping unnecessary squinting from the sun, is a must. Most sunglasses offer full UV protection, but it’s a good idea to double check and make sure yours do. Avoiding squinting is also important when it comes to preventing wrinkles which can be caused from repetitive movements.
