Alice in Wonderland’s Hollywood Look-Alikes
We couldn’t help noticing that the characters in Tim Burton’s hit film remind us of some of Tinseltown’s biggest stars.
In Tim Burton’s trippy 3D adventure Alice in Wonderland, the title heroine (played by Mia Wasikowska) finds herself stranded in a bizarre fantasy world that somehow seems familiar. She wasn’t the only one experiencing a sense of deja vu. Watching the box-office blockbuster, we also found ourselves growing curiouser and curiouser as the many colorful characters of Wonderland brought to mind our favorite stars of La La Land.

The platinum hair, the pretty face, the petticoat — why even the Caterpillar would confuse these two (or perhaps it might have to do with what he’s smoking). Throughout her career, the Orange County, Calif., native — who grew up near Disneyland and even once cut the lines for the Alice ride after she became famous — has drawn inspiration from the animated Alice: She dressed like her in the 2004 “What You Waiting For?” video, on her world tour, and at a private fashion show in 2005: “It’s kind of an Alice in Wonderland thing,” she said of her white-tights ensemble.
