Angelina Jolie took a break from traveling the globe to pen an opinion article for Newsweek.com. In the article, Angelina takes President Barack Obama to task for moving slowly on political corruption and violence in Darfur.
“How is the Obama administration’s approach to Sudan an evolution of justice?” Angelina writes. “In addition, when the administration says it intends to work to ‘improve the lives of the people of Darfur,’ I would like to know what that means, besides the obvious point that their lives could hardly get worse.”
Sources previously told Us Weekly that Angelina is no fan of President Obama, and that her political feelings spark fights with her partner Brad Pitt.
Indeed, though she was quick to praise his diplomatic efforts, Angelina didn’t shy away from using subtle digs at the President to make her point about his administration’s policies.
“On this Human Rights Day–the same day President Obama receives his Nobel Peace Prize–we must also remember those who have been deprived of their rights.”
Angelina should probably leave her phone on today – you never know when the White House will call! (Us Magazine)
