Betty on the News: Arrest Made in Beating Death of Real Housewives‘ Fiancé
Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta lost her former fiancé, Ashley Jewell to a brutal beating, and now his attacker has been arrested
Fredrick Richardson has been charged with voluntary manslaughter for beating The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss’ former fiancé, Ashley Jewell to death in the parking lot of an Atlanta bar called the Body Tap Club.
Authorities are not clear on what caused the brawl, but witnesses of the fight are trying to put the pieces together. The suspect, Fredrick Richardson, was hospitalized with injuries from the fight, but he will go to jail as soon as he gets out.
Jewell, who worked at the Body Tap Club, suffered major injuries to the head and died while in the hospital. He frequently made appearances on The Real Housewives with Burruss, where the world saw that Burruss’s mother clearly did not like her daughter’s relationship with Jewell.
Burruss is completely devastated and in shock over the terrible incident. She wrote on her Twitter page: “im just in one of those moods where i dont wanna talk, i dont wanna b held & told its gonna b ok. i just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone.” (People)
