Former first daughter lands TV job

President Bush and family

Former first daughter Jenna Bush Hager was prone to making headlines in her college days as an undergrad at the University of Texas, but now she will be reporting them as a correspondent for NBC’s Today show.

The 27-year-old, who married last year, will split her time, contributing monthly news stories to Today and working as a reading coordinator at a school in Baltimore, Maryland.

However, despite her political family, Hager made it clear that she would not be covering events on Capitol Hill.

“I hope to focus on what I’m passionate about because I think I’d do them best job on them – education, urban education, women and children’s issues and literacy,” she said. (Fox News)

  1. I am so sick of political dynasties – Being married to a senator (or a former president, for that matter) does not automatically qualify you to be a senator yourself! Bleuugh.
