Sean’s stepfather and maternal grandmother in Brazil had lost the custody battle, but they won’t let it end this way. On Tuesday, the family’s attorney, Sergio Tostes, issued a press release stating that the family would continue to fight for custody. “The early delivery of Sean does not end,” Tostes said, “The court proceedings continue.”

David’s attorney, Patricia Apy, told reporters in New Jersey, “If they are going to persist to take positions that are contrary to Sean’s best interest, we would need to evaluate what impact that would have going forward on Sean.”

For now, Sean is safe and getting accustomed to life in New Jersey with his dad, David. (CNN)

  1. What is wrong w/the Brazilian people that want to take a child away from the dad when they are not blood relative? Sean got a 1/2 brother in Brazil, but he belong w/ his dad.I would never let Sean visit the step-grandmother in Brazil…They might hide Sean for good…..
