Bret Michaels Recalls Emergency Room Scare
At one point doctors urged the Poison frontman to contact his children.
There’s nothing like a near-death experience to make one truly appreciate the gift of life, and Bret Michaels is definitely thanking his lucky stars these days.
In an exclusive interview with People magazine Bret openly discusses his heartbreaking emergency room scare, when doctors advised the rocker to have his children – Raine 9, and Jorja, 5 – brought to the hospital.
“And I said in these exact words, ‘Am I dying? If I’m dying, I want to see my kids, but if I have a chance, I don’t want them to see me in this condition,'” he reveals.
The handsome Celebrity Apprentice contender spent 10 long days in the ICU before finally being released.
Bret is presently staying at a rehabilitation facility that specializes in physical therapy. Doctors expect him to make a full recovery, though he is “still very sick right now.” Go to PopEater for more on this story. (PopEater)
