Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Well we’re sure that’s what Bristol Palin believes, as her new career path sounds very similar to that of her mother’s, Sarah Palin. The Palin family’s attorney, Thomas Van Flein, confirmed yesterday that Bristol has signed with Single Source Speakers, and will now be paid to give public appearances and speeches.

We know mama Palin earns $100,000 per speaking engagement, and has weird requests in her contract like “there must be bendable straws.” 19-year-old Bristol will reportedly earn between $15,000 and $30,000 for each appearance, depending on who the audience is and what is entailed in preparing for the event.

And what will Bristol talk about during these appearances? According to the Associated Press, Van Flein said, “[Bristol] is interested in expanding her message beyond teen pregnancy to include her experiences on the campaign trail and in the media spotlight; her parenting approach; and her outlook on life.”

Oh, and she also has a book in the works about the same topics. Since Going Rogue has already been taken, maybe mom can help Bristol find a different title. Perhaps something along the lines of: Mistakes I Made that Made Me Famous.

We don’t know about you, but having one Palin family member touring the country and speaking to the masses was scary enough for us. But, now there will be two – and another book? Oy! (Associated Press, Radar Online)
