Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack is speaking out about the actress’ sudden death.

“My world was destroyed yesterday,” Simon told Access Hollywood on Monday.

He said that Brittany had not been feeling well but had seen a doctor, and that her symptoms didn’t seem too unusual.

“She had been tired at the end of the year. She had made a couple movies,” Simon said.

He also responded to rumors that Brittany had a few bad influences in her life – including Simon himself.

“I don’t know why anyone would think that,” Simon said. “She found love. We found love. Brittany didn’t get to where Brittany was with anyone controlling her… Brittany was Brittany.”

Brittany apparently collapsed in her bathroom early Sunday morning, according to TMZ. When paramedics arrived at Brittany’s home, they found Brittany “unresponsive,” though her husband and mother had been trying to revive her. Paramedics also found many prescription bottles in Brittany’s name, as well as many more prescribed for her husband and mother.

The L.A. County Coroner’s autopsy was “normal,” sources told TMZ, but additional tests will be needed to determine what sent Brittany into cardiac arrest. The Coroner’s office expects to determine the cause of her death within the next six weeks.

According to TMZ, Brittany left a will that was executed before she met and married Simon Monjack. The will leaves her whole estate to her mother, Sharon Murphy. If she did amend her will to include her husband, it has not been discovered yet. (Access Hollywood, TMZ)
