Cast of Glee Will Perform at White House Easter Egg Roll
Michelle Obama requests the cast perform at the annual Easter celebration at the White House.
What the First Lady wants, the First Lady gets… and First Lady Michelle Obama wants Glee. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Mrs. Obama and her two daughters, Sasha and Malia, are avid fans of the hit show on Fox, and want the cast to come and perform on Monday April 5 at the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll.
Obviously, the Glee kids couldn’t say no and neither could their producers – what’s higher than a gig at the White House performing for the President? So, as of right now, they’ve made room in their busy shooting schedule and are booked for the performance.
The White House Easter Egg Roll is open to the public as well through a ticket lottery system. The south lawn of the White House will open up for families with children 12 years and younger with tickets who want to participate in the Easter egg rolling and enjoy live music, storytelling and good food. The whole event is centered around Michelle Obama’s new ‘Let’s Move’ initiative to fight childhood obesity in America. Ticket entries for the lottery will be accepted this Thursday, February 25, through Sunday, February 28.
