Celeb Trainer Tips for Getting in Shape
Jessica Alba and Halle Berry’s trainer, Ramona Braganza, shares her secrets with BettyConfidential.
It looks as if stars slim down and get into shape overnight, but don’t be fooled. It takes a lot of hard work to get those hot bodies. BettyConfidential spoke to Halle Berry and Jessica Alba’s trainer, Ramona Braganza to find out how they do it. The Gold’s Gym Fitness Institute expert gave us all the inside dish on how those new moms and stars like Zac Efron, Bradley Cooper and Jessica Biel get buff.
Ramona worked with Halle and Jessica before, during and after their pregnancies. “Halle and Jess were doing one-hour workouts before they had their babies, but their schedules changed when they became new moms. After the births, it became the ‘baby bulge be gone’ workouts! The first month they had no time between feedings and new baby girls; they were exhausted. For about three weeks we kept the workouts to 20 minutes to strengthen the core. We went into the gym and started really easy. The second month we went up to almost 40 minutes – they were getting more motivated. The second month was really challenging but by the third month they were more motivated. You don’t need a lot of equipment; you can workout at home to be near the baby. Now Jessica loves to do yoga.”
Ramona trained Zac Efron for his upcoming sailing film, The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, where the actor goes from trim high school hot shot to buff hunk. “With Zac it’s not just about looking hot for a scene. He’s very athletic and likes to try new sports all the time. Instead of just sailing in the movie, he went out sailing with friends constantly. It became a part of his day. He trained hard every day with weights to bulk up. His workout schedule was six days a week and he never stopped, plus he had fun going sailing with his friends.”
