We’ve heard a lot about George Clooney’s telethon Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief over the past few weeks, and it seems he’s gotten a lot of famous friends on board.
The program will likely include performances from over a dozen musicians around the world, with tons of other celebs serving as presenters. The telethon will run on multiple networks, and celebs will broadcast from London, New York and Los Angeles. CNN’s Anderson Cooper will also add reports from Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Clooney will host the event in Los Angeles, while Wyclef Jean will host in New York. Stars such as Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon and Julia Roberts are set to man the phones.
Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen and Coldplay are among the stars set to perform. Beyoncé and Madonna recently signed on to appear, along with Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio, who just donated $1 million to the relief and reconstruction efforts.
