Charlie Sheen Gives Full Custody to Denise Richards
Lack of sobriety and criminal issues do not a good daddy make.
In light of his recent (okay, ongoing) erratic problems with drugs, alcohol and domestic violence, it’s best Charlie Sheen relinquished full custody of his kids Sam, 6, and Lola, 4 to their mother Denise Richards.
Charlie and Denise—up until now—have shared joint custody since their divorce was made final in 2006.
In case you forgot, Denise first filed for divorce from the troubled actor while she was still pregnant with Lola in March of 2005.
Sources intimately familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Charlie and Denise signed a written agreement in which Denise now has full legal custody of the kids. With a slew of public marital mayhem in Charlie’s life, Denise wanted full custody, and Charlie didn’t put up a fight.
The custody agreement was signed officially two weeks ago but neither party was ready to file in court just yet. Now that Denise has full legal custody she can make all vital decisions concerning her kids without Charlie’s signoff. This includes: leaving the country without his permission, medical decisions, where they will be schooled and anything else of importance to their overall wellbeing.
Charlie will still have visitation rights.
As per their divorce agreement, Charlie has been paying Denise $50,000 a month in child support. According to Brooke Mueller‘s prenup—which TMZ reported yesterday—she will be given $55,000 a month in child support, as well as some add-ons that may result in Charlie’s monthly payments costing closer to $125,000.
So far, there has been no comment from Charlie or Denise’s lawyers. (TMZ)
